You must be at least 18 years old for the hire of any vehicle within groups A/B and possess a valid driving licence which you have held for at least one year and have the ability to drive the model you have chosen in Italy. For all other groups you must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driving licence which you have held for at least 2 years.
Tariff includes:
• Unlimited mileage
• Liability insurance
• Insurance for any cost exceeding the security deposit for fire theft and damages.
• VAT at 20%
• 1 crash helmet
Not included in the tariff:
• Accessories not included within the series of the model selected
• Personal accident insurance
• Fuel
• A second crash helmet. If requested, there will be a supplement of 25 Euros for the hire
• Transgression and/or infringement of whatever nature.
Security Deposit
The security deposit is a guarantee against possible damages and has to be paid on collection of the vehicle in cash or be means of a credit card voucher to authorise debit of the amount.
The security deposit will be refunded in total if no damage has been caused to the vehicle.
In respect of the general Terms and Conditions of contract the responsibility of the client for damage to the vehicle is limited to the amount of the security deposit given.
Right of cancellation of the contract (booking)
The client may exercise the right to cancel the booking without charge within 10 days after acceptance of the booking on the part of Sunshine & Company s.r.l. To exercise the right of cancellation send an e-mail within 10 days of receipt of the e-mail confirmation from Sunshine & Company s.r.l. To rental@sunshinesrl.com with subject: WITHDRAWAL. The e-mail should clearly quote the hire code, model of vehicle and your personal details.
There is no right to cancel within 30 days prior to the date of collection of the vehicle.
Cancellation of the booking up to 30 days before the beginning of the rental requires a payment of
30% of the total rental. After that date the client will not have the right to any refund.
Fuel and refuelling service
All the cars, minibuses and scooters are supplied with a full tank of petrol or diesel. If the cars, minibuses or scooters are not returned with a full tank of fuel there will be a supplementary refuelling charge of 12 Euros plus 20% VAT (16 Euros plus 20% VAT for minibusess) in addition to the cost of the fuel.
Delays
There will be a maximum tolerance of 59 minutes for the return of the vehicle (excluding the special formula for weekend tariff or longer term hire). For delays of more than 59 minutes there will be one extra day's hire charge.
Return of the vehicles
It is expressly forbidden to return the vehicle when the hire office is closed. However, should this happen the client is required to pay an amount of 30 Euros plus 20% VAT if the return is during daytime, the amount will be 50 Euros plus 20% VAT if the return is after 20.00 hours and 100 Euros plus 20% VAT if the return is after midnight.
Collection of vehicle from the airport
For hires that commence at the airport there will be an additional charge of 14%.
Second driver
The supplement for a second driver is 2.50 Euros plus 20% VAT per day or 10 Euros plus 20% VAT per week, payable locally on collection of the vehicle.
Type of vehicle
Although Sunshine & Company s.r.l. make every possible effort to supply the vehicle requested we are not always able to guarantee a particular model. In the event where a particular vehicle model is not available we will substitute it with a model from the same group or from a higher group.
Accessories
Roof racks, ski racks, baby seats and snow chains are available from nearby our office and must be booked at the same time when you book the vehicle. There is a supplement of 30 Euros plus 20% VAT which is payable in addition to the cost of the hire of the vehicle.
Areas not insurable
Any damages to the windscreen, wheels, roof, undercarriage of the vehicle and to the internal area are not covered by the insurance. In the case of loss of the hired vehicle documentation the client will be debited a supplement of 60 Euros plus 20% VAT. For loss of the hired vehicle keys the client will be debited 150 Euros plus 20% VAT. In the case of loss of the crash helmet the client will be debited a supplement of 100 Euros plus 20% VAT.
For the rental of our cars, minibuses and scooters you will have to produce an acceptable Credit Card (we accept Visa, Mastercard, Cartasi, American Express, Diners and Visa Gold). For rental of superior vehicles from Groups A and B the driver must produce 2 Credit Cards one of which must be American Express, Diners or Visa Gold.
